PLEASE NOTE: This is not a physical hat. This is the instructions for crocheting a Slouchy Witch Hat. Do not purchase this if you are wanting a finished product. I cannot accept returns on digital items.

The Slouchy Witch Hat was the first crochet pattern I released back in October of 2021. This hat is perfect for spooky season or the every day witch. This pattern is includes step by step instructions to make a hat that will fit the average adult sized head (22.5in); however, there are suggestions in the notes section of the pattern on how to alter it to fit a variety of sizes. This pattern includes 26 images to guide you in completing the project.

Makeable even for me!

I bought this pattern on a whim, completely forgetting that 1. I don't speak US terminology 2. I don't use patterns in general - but I had an overnight bus and then plane ride to get through in the next few days and I knew I'd need something to fidget with, so I printed out the pattern and packed two skeins of yarn and a hook. Again I must stress that I'm not only self taught but also not really taught at all, and I really struggle with patterns so I usually just "figure out" how to crochet stuff. But. This pattern was somewhat easy to follow, and I did end up with a funky witches hat at the end of my journey! Didn't take a photo of it and ended up gifting it to my tattoo artist as I wouldn't have had room in my luggage to bring it back home with me, but I'd absolutely make this again. Took me I wanna say a day altogether to finish, used up one whole skein and then like a tiny amount of the second one. I had to add three extra rows before starting the brim and then two extra rows to the brim itself as it wasn't wide enough for my liking, but both of those were really simple alterations. Quite fun to make once I figured out which stitch is which 😅
